DePaul’s women’s basketball team is taking it to the hoop — on a national level.  On Monday, the program broke into the Associated Press’ top 25 rankings at 25th place after receiving votes all season.

Monday was also a red-letter day for two players featured in The Daily Herald.

From the article on standout guard Sam Quigley:

“Protecting the ball with her body, the only sign of recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament being a scar on the inside of her right knee, the 5-foot-6 Quigley runs the Blue Demons’ offense as adamantly as Oprah Winfrey guides her highly rated TV show.”

The second article quotes forward Holly Medley:

“It doesn’t matter how much playing time you get. Even if I’m not on the floor I’m super-excited everywhere I go about playing here for DePaul.”

Experience the  women’s team in action — the next home game is against West Virginia on Saturday, Jan. 31. Join the DePaul Alumni Association for a pre-game party and the game or buy your game tickets directly from the DePaul Athletics Ticket Office.
