Coach Lenti Bats 1,000 (Victories)

31 Mar

We’ve all seen the bestseller books and articles telling us we should have goals — to visit 1,000 special places before we die, to listen to the 1,000 best albums, to win 1,000 NCAA Division I softball games. Oh, wait, maybe the last one is only on DePaul head softball coach Eugene Lenti‘s to-do list.

Well, on Monday, Coach Lenti did it. He became the 12th NCAA Division I softball coach to reach that magic 1,000th victory

During his 28 years coaching the softball team, Coach Lenti has taken four teams to the Women’s College World Series  and was recently inducted into the the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Hall of Fame.

I think reaching 1,000 victories calls for a celebration! On Saturday, April 25, gather with alumni, friends and most importantly Coach Lenti after the softball doubleheader against Syracuse to PARTY! For details or to register for this complimentary event, call Marge Mazik at (773) 325-7240 or email her at mmazik@depaul.edu.
