Operation R&R Supports Military Personnel Abroad

14 Apr

Armed Forces Day is May 15, and the DePaul community is celebrating with its third annual  Operation Read & Restore project.

Operation R&R provides books, magazines and media (CDs/DVDs) to men and women with ties to DePaul who are currently overseas with the U.S. military. Do you know of current DePaul students, alumni, family members or friends serving abroad? Submit their name (deadline was March 31, but they’ll still accept a few more submissions) and DePaul University Libraries will contact your nominee with information about the program. Or, maybe you’d like to make a donation. Sign up by May 1 to “adopt a soldier” and you’ll get a name and wish list to make your donation.

“The mission of Operation R&R is to support the morale of our troops by ensuring that those serving in military outposts know their loved ones and communities care about them.”

Let’s do this!
