Career Advice and Networking at Career Week 2012

27 Feb

Students and alumni discuss their career objectives at the "5 Things to Know about the 21st Century Workforce" workshop.

Students, graduates and alumni gathered for a week of networking and career advice at DePaul University’s fifth annual Career Week.

The Lincoln Park, Loop, and O’Hare campuses offered workshops aimed to help students and alumni market themselves better on the career search or transition. Workshops were designed to help job-seekers start their careers or transition to new careers, as well as make connections that will help them become leaders.

Sima Dahl (MBA ‘96) kicks off Career Week with the opening keynote address at the Student Center.

Students and alumni found gained leverage by attending panels on  how to strengthen their resume and cover letter, use social media to their advantage, and network with people in their field.

If you missed last week’s events, DePaul offers more career services throughout the year! Visit the Alumni Career Services website for more workshops, networking and recruiting opportunities.
